"They call it a bridge rat. But don't let that fool you. It's no rodent.\
\
A Bogrot is a giant creature with large toad shaped arms and very deceptive earthen camouflage. With a chest that looks identical to dirt and rubble, and a back that looks like fresh grass covered in twigs. This creature will lay face down in a small river or stream. Lock itself tightly between the two river banks. As it waits patiently for prey to cross.

Once in place. A Bogrot looks identical to any typical land bridge. So much so, in fact, that the only real indicators that it's even there is that the river bank dirt doesn't quite match the skin of the creature. Another less reliable way, is to see if there's a large tree or recently perturbed boulder on one side of the river bank near this land bridge. This large tree or boulder is always located on the side nearest the creatures head.

Once the unsuspecting prey crosses the land bridge, and thus the creatures back, the Bogrot will quickly snatch up the prey, smash it's helpless body against the hard object, and consume the easy meal before moving into another location. Bogrot's usually eat unlucky deer, foxes, and rabbits. But have been known to eat a human from time to time.

Very few people ever see a bogrot in the process of setting up shop. Some call that observation good luck. But me? I wouldn't exactly call it that... I'm content never seeing one in any point in time.

Just remember. If a Bogrot manages to catch you, don't be another easy meal! Flail your body around. Stab it as quickly as possible and use a shield or solid object to protect your head from the boulder it's about to smash you into. If you cause enough pain, quickly enough, it's possible you can survive! Bograt's do not like being hurt.

There's rumors that if a Bogrot is hungry enough, it may not wait until you're on its back to snatch you. So be wary of any land bridges in general. For safety sake it's always better to just use human bridges or fallen trees.

After you check under it of course..."
